This six-month training initiative focuses on building technical and operational expertise while providing mentorship from experienced project managers and operations leaders.

Core Areas of Development

The program covers three primary areas to ensure comprehensive development:

  1. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Awareness
Participants gain awareness of essential HSE practices to ensure safe and compliant work environments.
  2. Technical Training
Tailored for those with little to no technical background, the program provides hands-on learning in plant operations and maintenance.
  3. Behavioral Training
A focus on fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, ensuring participants are equipped to address inappropriate conduct such as discrimination and harassment.

Practical Experience and Mentorship

Participants will gain valuable practical knowledge and experience in plant operations, learning the intricacies of plant functionality and key operational activities. They will receive mentorship from industry experts to guide their growth and development throughout the program.

Promoting Diversity in Qatar’s Water Industry

ACCIONA is proud to highlight the progress made in fostering gender diversity in Qatar's water sector, with women now representing over 30% of the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. This achievement reflects ACCIONA’s commitment to promoting inclusion and Qatar’s focus on social and economic development through gender diversity.

Commitment to Increasing Women’s Workforce Participation

The company recognizes that the journey towards gender equality is ongoing and continues to prioritize strengthening women’s participation in the water industry, contributing to Qatar’s long-term vision for a more inclusive society.

Local Connections and Future Employment Opportunities

The program is specifically designed for women with strong ties to the local culture and a desire to develop technical skills in the water industry. Upon completing the program, participants will undergo performance evaluations and may be offered formal employment opportunities at ACCIONA’s water plants, such as Ras Abu Fontas and Umm al Houl RO desalination plants.

A Step Towards a More Inclusive Future
